St Stephen's C of E School - Surrey - 2023 Prospectus

We were recently commissioned to design a new style school prospectus document for a school we have worked with in Surrey for over 10 years. We have produced many printed items for this school following a school logo redesign.  Following an initial brief, we visited the school to take a selection of prospectus style photographs which can also be used in posters, signage, leaflets, website design and any other media throughout the school.  On completion of the designs and a successful proof check - we printed and delivered the finished brochures to the school. We were proud to receive positive feedback on the turnaround times, our customer service and also the quality of the printed brochures.

Unlocking Success: A Guide to School Prospectus Printing for UK Schools

A well-crafted school prospectus is a key tool in attracting prospective students and showcasing the unique offerings of your school in the UK. A school prospectus serves as a powerful marketing tool that conveys your school's ethos, curriculum, facilities, and achievements to potential students and their families. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the important aspects of school prospectus printing to help you create a compelling and effective prospectus for your school in the UK.

  1. Planning and Designing Your Prospectus The first step in creating a school prospectus is careful planning and designing. Consider the purpose and target audience of your prospectus, and ensure that the content is relevant, engaging, and visually appealing. Collaborate with a professional graphic designer or a printing company with experience in school prospectus printing to create a design that reflects your school's brand identity and values. Be sure to include high-quality images, testimonials from current students and parents, and relevant information about your school's curriculum, facilities, extracurricular activities, and achievements.

  2. Choosing the Right Printing Method There are several printing methods to choose from when it comes to school prospectus printing. The most common methods are digital printing and offset printing. Digital printing is cost-effective for small print runs and offers quick turnaround times, making it ideal for schools with smaller budgets or tight timelines. On the other hand, offset printing is suitable for larger print runs and offers higher print quality and a wider range of customization options. Discuss your printing needs and budget with your printing company to determine the best method for your school prospectus.

  3. Selecting the Right Paper and Finishing Options The choice of paper and finishing options can significantly impact the overall look and feel of your school prospectus. Consider the weight, color, and texture of the paper to create a professional and durable prospectus. Glossy or matte finishes can add a touch of sophistication to your prospectus, while options such as embossing, debossing, or foil stamping can provide additional visual appeal. Discuss the available paper and finishing options with your printing company to make informed decisions that align with your school's branding and budget.

  4. Ensuring Print Quality and Proofreading Print quality is paramount in school prospectus printing. Ensure that the images, text, and colors are crisp and vibrant, and that there are no printing errors or misalignments. Request a printed proof from your printing company to review and approve before proceeding with the final print run. It's also crucial to have multiple proofreaders carefully review the prospectus to catch any spelling or grammatical errors. Attention to detail is critical to maintain a professional and polished prospectus.

  5. Eco-friendly Printing Practices As an educational institution, your school may have a commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. Consider using eco-friendly printing options, such as recycled paper or soy-based inks, to reduce your environmental impact. Discuss these options with your printing company to ensure that your prospectus aligns with your school's values and environmental initiatives.

  6. Distribution and Promotion Once your school prospectus is printed and ready, it's time to distribute and promote it. Consider mailing copies to prospective students, distributing them at school events, open houses, and community fairs, or making them available in your school's reception area. You can also promote your prospectus on your school's website and social media channels to reach a wider audience. Collaborate with your school's marketing and admissions team to develop a strategic distribution and promotion plan to maximise the impact of your prospectus.

In conclusion, a well-designed and professionally printed school prospectus is a crucial marketing tool for UK schools. By carefully planning, designing, and printing your prospectus,
