School Exercise Book Laminating Options
Matt Laminate ? Gloss Laminate ?
Here at The School Print Company we are often asked about the benefits of laminating the covers of school exercise books.
Headteachers and teachers alike naturally take pride in the presentation of their pupils work and if it is presented in a school exercise book that is of a quality that can enhance this presentation both teachers and children will benefit.
Adding a lamination to the outer cover of a school exercise book will protect the cover of the book and ensure the book can be in the best condition for the duration of its use. A laminated cover whether it be a gloss lamination or matt lamination will thicken the cover, protecting the spine and the corners of the exercise books. On books with the most pages 80 pages or 96 pages - the stress on the spine and staples can be great and laminating the books can give greater protection.
As in the graphic attached the process for printing the covers is the same. We have shown 3 different exercise books printed for three different schools. The left hand book has a gloss lamination applied after printing but before binding. The middle book is not laminated. The right hand book has a Matt lamination applied after printing but before binding. The gloss is obviously shiny and can be wiped clean. The Matt lamination gives a softer touch. With a thin tipped permanent marker you can easily write the child's details.
Our unique approach to designing longer lasting high quality school exercise books is enhanced by lamination.

School exercise books are an essential part of the education system. They provide a platform for students to practice and improve their skills in various subjects. These books come in different sizes and formats, including ruled, graph, and plain paper. In this blog, we will discuss the importance of school exercise books and how they can be effectively used to enhance learning.
Organization and Note-taking
One of the most important benefits of school exercise books is their ability to organise notes and assignments. Each subject has its own exercise book, which allows students to keep their notes and assignments in one place. This makes it easy for them to find information quickly and stay organised. Additionally, taking notes helps students retain information better and improves their memory.
Practice Makes Perfect
Another significant advantage of school exercise books is that they provide a platform for students to practice what they have learned. Repetition and practice are essential for mastering new skills and concepts. Through regular practice, students can develop their writing, problem-solving, and analytical skills, which are critical for academic success.
Feedback and Improvement
School exercise books also provide a way for teachers to give feedback to their students. Teachers can review the students' work and provide feedback on areas that need improvement. This allows students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and work towards improving their performance. Feedback also helps students develop a growth mindset, where they view mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.
Creativity and Self-Expression
School exercise books provide an outlet for students to express their creativity and imagination. Through drawing, coloring, and writing, students can explore their ideas and emotions. This not only helps in developing their creativity but also in enhancing their communication skills. Additionally, using different colored pens or highlighters to emphasise important information can help with retention and comprehension.
Conclusion
In conclusion, school exercise books play an important role in the education system. They provide a platform for students to practice, organize, and improve their skills in various subjects. By using exercise books effectively, students can develop a growth mindset, improve their memory and problem-solving skills, and express their creativity. Therefore, teachers and students alike should place great importance on using exercise books as a tool for effective learning.
