On behalf of the whole school community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to new and prospective members of our very happy and friendly school. The purpose of this school prospectus is to give you an indication of what we are able to offer you and your child and hopefully capture a sense of our school and the values which underpin all we seek to achieve.

Choosing a school for your child is a very important decision. Starting Nursery or school is often a young child’s first steps away from the family environment and we are very aware of the responsibility of our task. All of us at Langley Mill CE Infant School and Nursery want the very best for your child as for us, every child is special and unique.

Being a school that solely caters for children in their early years of education, we feel that we are particularly able to focus on the specific needs of these vitally important years. We strive to provide a rich, vibrant curriculum which stimulates the children’s interests, offers challenge to all, and support where appropriate, and makes learning fun. This is supported by a highly talented team of committed and enthusiastic teachers and support staff who work hard to create a structured and orderly establishment that has children’s learning and the achievement of high standards at its heart.  Exercise Books are provided byt he school print company - bespoke exercise books with gloss laminated covers.

We will ensure the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum are met and that each child not only has a broad and balanced education, but also has access to a range of extended opportunities which support individual development. There are clear procedures and policies in place throughout the Nursery and school, which focus both on academic achievement and personal success, alongside physical, spiritual, social, moral and cultural development.

The school’s extended services includes before & after school clubs; opportunities for family learning; and information and support from a wide range of specialists.  The school prospectus and school exercise books we use were provided by The School Print Company.  The postcards and achievement cards and school letterheads and stationery are printed in full colour.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of a school with such a committed and hard working staff and governing body, positive Church links and supportive families.

Thank you for your interest in our school. We hope you find this prospectus helpful and informative and a useful guide to the school. If you would like to know more about us or have any questions, concerns or ideas that you would like to share about the information, we would be pleased to hear from you. You are very welcome to phone or call in to arrange a convenient time to visit, and it would be our pleasure to meet you and show you round the school. Should you make the important decision for your child to join our school, we know that you and your family will soon feel very much at home with us.

I look forward to a long and rewarding partnership helping and supporting your child to grow and develop as a valued and valuable member of our school and the community.
