Bewsey Lodge is a thriving and happy Primary School. We offer our pupils a warm and caring atmosphere that nurtures every individual and challenges all abilities so that all of our children reach their full potential. Children are welcomed into our school nursery from three years old, they can attend the term after their third birthday. Once children enter reception, they remain with us until the end of Year Six.

Our school is enriched by close links with our wider community. During their time with us, our children are frequently offered amazing opportunities to work on projects with partners such as Warrington Collegiate, The University of Chester and The Warrington Wolves Foundation. This enrichment, coupled with high standards in teaching and learning, ensures we truly develop the ‘whole child’.

Safeguarding is fundamental in all we do. At Bewsey Lodge we have developed a Safeguarding Team which ensures a multi-faceted approach to keeping our children and others within our school community safe. Pleaseclick on the link above to view our amazing school prospectus, designed by The School Print Company.  We use school exercise books which have lovely colourful covers and postcards.

Our safeguarding mission statement:

Our mission is to ensure that all children and adults are safe from harm at all times and can thrive in an environment which is secure and free from abuse and bullying of any kind.

We work hard in creating a welcoming atmoshphere which develops the social and emotional needs of everyone; supporting, questioning, loving. At our school, people are nurtured, valued and treated equally. Worries, concerns and thoughts are listened to and addressed in an environment of mutual respect.

We have amazing young people walk through our doors each and every morning - here at Bewsey Lodge we pride ourselves on making every one of those days special and exciting. Our teaching and learning incorporates far more than the usual classroom based curriculum. We believe that to truly inspire our young people, we must work hard to create experiences that will not only challenge and ignite our young minds but have purpose and meaning; encourage aspirations and dreams for the future.

Some of our highlights and community partners include:

ECO Team & Club - In partnership with Warrington’s award winning ECO Warrior - Phil Chadwick we gained the coveted ‘Green Flag’ status for incorporating diverse and challenging ECO activities into our curriculum.

Wildlife - We have partnered up with Leaders from Long Lane Garden Centre, with them the wildlife rangers and after school club have been instrumental in the set up of our wildlife/conservation and relaxation garden. Wildlife observation and themed worked based around literacy, maths and ICT have become a real strength of our school.

BOLD - a partnership with Warrington Collegiate and four other local primary and secondary schools. This new initiative is centred around Enterprise and building aspirations - aimed at children and their families.

The Children’s University - Our children are encouraged to become members of this exciting new scheme which encourages children to participate learning outside of the classroom. Credits are accumulated and children ‘graduate’ at the end of the school year.

Multi faith partnerships - Leaders of faith institutions including St Mark’s Church, Hope Hall and the Islamic Centre have delivered lessons and assemblies in school. Children regularly visit places of worship first hand including our local Churches, Mosques and Synagogues.

ICT - We pride ourselves in being at the forefront of developments in ICT education. We are currently one of the only schools in Warrington using Apple ipads to enhance teaching and learning; class sets are available to children from nursery to Year 6.

Healthy Heroes - Specialist sports coaching with a twist - children learn about keeping healthy and fit through fun activities linking PE, Science, literacy and Design & Technology for School Exercise Books

Residential - Short holidays are available to children from Year 2 - Year 6.

LET’S COOK! - A ‘learn to cook’ programme aimed at children and their families.

Family/Community room - multi agency services offered on a regular basis not to mention weekly coffee mornings and Credit Union.
